The Allentown Housing Authority continues to advance its Homeownership Program, which includes renovating homes in Allentown to be sold to first-time home buyers. Available units for purchase will be offered on a first-come, first-serve basis established upon the buyer qualifications listed below.
1. Buyer Must be a First-Time Home Buyer
A first-time home buyer is defined as "no household member has owned a home in the past five years"; AND
2. Buyer Must be Mortgage Ready
The buyer is responsible for choosing a mortgage lender and is responsible for meeting all lender requirements associated with qualifying for a home mortgage. Mortgage pre-approval is required; AND
3. Buyer Must demonstrate Local Residency.
The buyer will need to provide documentation supporting local residency; AND
4. Buyer Must Meet 80% Area Median Income (AMI) for Lehigh County.
